If you work on base or at the university, you genuinely cannot beat the commute. Downtown Fairborn has had a real glow-up in recent years too, with local coffee, breweries, the historic Foy's stores, and small-town events that give it a fun, walkable heart. With a median around $220K and homes that tend to move quickly, this is one of my favorite pockets for first-time buyers and anyone who wants their money to go further.
